Prior to establishing a law office, Mr. Brandwein practiced as a certified public accountant in Chicago, Illinois, with a major CPA firm for eight years. In 1969, a law office was established in Columbus, Ohio, with specialization in Civil and Criminal Tax Litigation, Tax Planning and Estate Planning. In 1985, a law office was established in Monterey, California, continuing the same specialization as was established in Ohio. At present, both offices are still maintained. For undergraduate studies, he attended the University of Illinois and DePaul University in Chicago and DePaul University Law School. He is currently a member of the Tax Section of the American Bar Association, serving on several committees, Illinois State Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, State Bar of California and is a Certified Specialist Taxation Law of the California State Bar. He has written several articles on taxation and served on the Executive Committee of the Section of Taxation, State Bar of California.
